Following the International recognition of our 3yo homebred MURAAQIB and the Kahayla Classic winner MANARK in the 2015 IFAHR International Classifications for Purebred Arabians;
Shadwell added another accolade this weekend at the ARO Annual Awards. BON BAISER DE FAUST was awarded the 2015 Arabian Racing Pure Bred Award by ARO.
This prize rewards the best Arabian racehorse in the UK by number of wins. In 2015, BON BAISER DE FAUST, a 4yo son of MADJANI, trained by James Owen and Gill Duffield, won 3 of his 5 starts and was placed twice, including 3rd in the Shadwell Arabian Derby (Gr.1 PA) in Newmarket last September.
This award has been previously won by other racehorses carrying our famous blue and white colours: ARSENE RUPIN in 2005, MAESTRO AL MAURY in 2006, ADRAAJ in 2009, and the champion and now Shadwell Arabian stallion NO RISK AL MAURY in 2008.
Our patron HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also awarded Arabian Racing Leading Owner in 2015, for the 12th consecutive year, with 20 wins and 31 places from 92 starts in the UK.
